“In every 10 years a book is publish that will surely change your life”
- Paulo Coelho

At first I don’t read books expect those given from school. But during my 6th Grade in Elementary we had reading sessions during our English Classes and the book that out teacher gave us was “The Little Prince” by Antoine De Saint-Exupery.

After reading “Little Prince” it kinda left a mark in me that reading can be very entertaining at the same time it can ease your mind not to mention the many things you can learn from it, but my interest of reading wasn’t that to much yet.
But during the summer of my 2nd Year High school I felt the urge of reading a book so I brought the most famous book of Paulo Coelho, “The Alchemist”. Now that book really got me hook on reading books. My imagination burst as I read each page of that book. Dreams, Omen, Love, Adventure, it was just the right book for me at the time when I was reading it because I sought for an inspiration and motivation for me to pursue my goals or Personal Legend as Paulo Coelho referred to.
So after that I began reading Paulo Coelho’s other books like, “Like The River Flows”, “The Pilgrimage”, “By the Piedra River I Sat Down and Wept”, and “The Fifth Mountain”.
After reading so may book authored by Paulo Coelho, I realized that I love reading books that can change on how people think like Psychology Books and for me my favorite Psychology Author is Malcolm Gladwell, author of the best selling books, “Tipping Point”, “What the Dog Saw”, and my favorite “Blink”.
“Blink” actually change the way on how I think. The term “Thin-slicing” is one thing that I really learned from the book. Imagine that with only a few information one can already have a clear idea on what is going, even though you can’t explain it but at the first 2 second you heard or see something you can tell whether something is going wrong or things are going right.
After then I tried searching for a book written by someone who has won a Nobel Prize and saw Jose Saramago, 1992 Nobel Prize in Literature Awardee, and brought his Book “Blindness” and I must say that book maybe the most frightening thing I’ve ever read.
How about you, do you have any books that changed your life?
